Shakespeare - All students should experience Shakespeare! This course will follow a three-step process for two plays over the year. First, our youngest students read through a picture book retelling of the selected play, then they will journey through a beautiful retelling of the play from Lamb's Tales from Shakespeare and finally, students will listen to or read the play as a class. Studying Shakespeare is an abundant resource for understanding the human condition. While our young students enjoy the often hilarious or riveting stories, our older students have the opportunity to discuss and wrestle with the challenging ideas put forth by each play.
Artist Study - The power of picture study is creating a museum of the mind in which some of the most beautiful artwork in history is displayed. Each year, students will study the art of 4 artists of different eras and enjoy beautiful high-quality prints to take home and enjoy for themselves.

Geography - Help your student gain a grand and grateful understanding of the world through the living literature of Richard Halliburton's Book of Marvels. Students will hear stories from all over the world as they walk in the shoes of a great explorer. Additionally, students will gain an even deeper grasp of God's great world, as they learn to draw the seven oceans and continents plus the continent of study for the year.
Composer Study - Build an appreciation for the great music of history in composer study! After listening to selections of a composer’s work, students will narrate in addition to learning important musical terminology, about the composers themselves, and their musical eras. Each year students will listen to the compositions of 4 great composers.

Nature Journaling - Level up your nature journal with guided observances, instructions, and a variety of mediums. Look through wildlife guides and learn to develop your very own! Bring these on our monthly nature excursions!
Folk Dancing - Using the music and instructions from New England Dancing Masters, ALL students (and parents!) will learn 4-6 classic folk dances including reels, jigs, square dances and more! These will also be featured at the end-of-year showcase.

After Lunch, students have the option to participate in Explore Clubs - fun groups designed to develop your students interests and hobbies! Clubs vary based on parent leadership and student interest. However, some clubs will always be available such as Handcraft Club and Bridge Club. Clubs we would love to have facilitated are Choir, Chess Club, Robotics Club and more!  Clubs will be announced, before the start of the year.

Handcraft Club - Wanting to help your student develop their handcrafts but never have set aside time? This is the club for you. Have weekly instructional time to spend with your student working on whatever interest they have: sewing, felting, origami, crochet and more!
