Shakespeare - All students should experience Shakespeare! This course will follow a three-step process for two plays over the year. First, our youngest students read through a picture book retelling of the selected play, then they will journey through a beautiful retelling of the play from Lamb's Tales from Shakespeare and finally, students will listen to or read the play as a class. Studying Shakespeare is an abundant resource for understanding the human condition. While our young students enjoy the often hilarious or riveting stories, our older students have the opportunity to discuss and wrestle with the challenging ideas put forth by each play.

Geography - Help your student gain a grand and grateful understanding of the world through the living literature of Richard Halliburton's Book of Marvels. Students will hear stories from all over the world as they walk in the shoes of a great explorer. Additionally, students will gain an even deeper grasp of God's great world, as they learn to draw the seven oceans and continents plus the continent of study for the year.

Composer Study - Build an appreciation for the great music of history in composer study! After listening to selections of a composer’s work, students will narrate in addition to learning important musical terminology, about the composers themselves, and their musical eras. Each year students will listen to the compositions of 4 great composers.
